Guest guest
HI all, I got an email froma member asking about it. My Doc wouldn't let me gone it11! LOL Essentially that old line.. patient tolerated it well, however thes side-effects killed her in the end. <G> I, for some reason, tried when I was subject to intractable migraines. It didn't help for those but I thought it " might/maybe " try it to see. For some reason, I thought it was some kind of a venous antispasmodic. It isn't. It's tryciclic - a antidepressent, as I remember. I was put on 50mb/night of amytriline for fibromyalgia.. It did help me sleep - I also gained 40 lbs in two months! 5 lbs maybe I could see, but 20? As dr Les would say " Something wrong " lol I think that there is " some " risk of weightgain - I read in a commendium somewhere - can occur as well, but when getting in to 40LBS over 2 onths? That's a pathological gain me thinks. It is listed a " rare sideeffect " so I wouldn't " not " useit if you have an option to. Not at all. I stay of the trycyclics except some. and those only when I'm unconsious in the ER, So, pleas do not give om trying because of weight gain. That's something that rarely, rarely happens. And if I have this side- effect, I would have tried it. I pray it works for those of you who try is and My Best of Luck.
