Guest guest
My parents gave me an xmas gift by sending $ to the Heifer foundation a few years ago. I kept the card about what was done with the money for a long time, thinking it was such a great idea. Sounds like a good bet. Also don't forget the Weston A. Price Foundation as another one! Guest guest
I think it's commonly known as " The Heifer Project " --many churches collect funds for this. The kids in our church collect money at Christmas (During Advent) to buy animals. Each year they pick--last year rabbits, this year goats, etc. I know some of my family has been very supportive of this project in years past. They investigate charities thoroughly and I don't think they would have invested if it wasn't a sound charity. These people actually do what they say they do in so far as providing animals and training.
Guest guest
I know personally of a retired veterinarian that brings dairy goats over to Napal every year for the heifer project. he then shows the recipiants how to care for the goats. This is truly a very worthy endeavor. It follows the bible truth of teaching a man to fish. I just got their catalog in the mail and was thinking it was a good idea for a Christmas gift! Has anyone heard of this organization and know if they are good?
