Guest guest
Hi, Gerard and all -When Buxenbaum first told us about the AOM in early October, he said he was now on a trail that started in Atlantic City, went south through the states, then turned west and went across the US, then north to Canada, back east, and ending up back in Atlantic City. I think he said he had 6 months to complete it. Ther's no trail like that showing on AOM now, so it must not show up until after & is completed.I started with the and trail and am on the final section. If my knees hold up I hope to finish it by the end of this week. I am guessing that at the end of & , AOM will take me to the long route B is doing. Hopefully he will check in between now and then and let us know for sure; otherwise, I'll let you all know what happens when I get there.Happy trails to all!a> >> > Has this happened to anyone else on AOM? Guest guest
Hello There Ya'll, The trail that I am on is called Stay On The Move Trail. I do not have a clue to as where they come up with these trails. When I finished my other trails, and I just happened to finish them early, I guess, they just started me on this trail. I had no choice in the matter. So, I guess that when you finish your walk, something just pops up on the computer, and away you go. I do not know that if you can find out all the trails that are available. That might be something to look into. That way maybe more people can share the same trail. That would be kind on neet. That way you can at least stop and have lunch or something together. I hope this helps out some. So, until next-time. Guest guest
All of this then transfered over to and . I'd like to be done with this before the 21st if I can because that is the deadline for me as per AOM. Your stats look good. Hope your husband is all well real soon. Guest guest
Finishing the appalachian trail in 13 days .. Whoa! I have been on the Appalachian trail for 16 days already ... and am not really close to the finish yet (approximately 40,000 steps to go to the finish). So I am guessing it's going to take me 4 more days to finish it ... and I thought I was doing pretty good. Congrats on the 13 day " roll " through the appalachian trail! More like 64,000 steps ... that is going to take me 6 more days to accomplish. So, 22 days for me to do the trail (if I keep up the pace) ... at what I thought was a good pace. And lscottstudios finished in 13 days! Whoa! Congrats on some serious walking!
Guest guest
Jay, these are the stats that I have for the time I walked through Appalachian Trail. I put in the Minutes and AOM calulates the Steps. I don't think though at the time their calulations were on target but as time went on, it seemed to get closer to what I was really doing. On my high mile days, I broke it in half. I walked half in the morning and the other half in the evening. It was VERY hard because at that time I had so many blisters and I was wrapping my feet over and over and over. I kept pluging away though. At this point and time, I can walk about 6 1/2 mile in one shot. I built up to that though. I walked 10 miles once, I only made it one time in 4 months and I broke that in half. 5 and 5. I'm not doing well in November though, and I am feeling it. My Hubby dropped a Refrigerator on him, No, Kidding,,, The Refrigerator fell on him and it landed on his leg. He had surgery done on his knee and I've been taking care of him since the 1st of this month and haven't been walking much at all. Because it was work related, we have to go the the Hospital's and Doc's Offices that the Company sends us to. Sad part is, The Hospital is 80 miles away, one way, from us and the Doc's office and therapy office is 55 miles away. He can't drive so I've been going back and forth everyday and helping him, that I haven't been able to walk much. But, that's Ok because it is his time right now. I'll catch up when I can. Here are the stats on my 13 days.... October 10, Monday- True miles on Treadmill- 4.75 Miles 13,300 Recorded Steps Action--- Minutes walked- 100 October 11, Tuesday----True Miles on Treadmill--- 7 1/2 Miles 22,211 Recorded Steps Action-- Minutes Walked- 167 October 12, Wednesday---True Miles on Treadmill--- 6 Miles 16,891 Recorded Steps Action--- Minutes Walked- 127 October 13, Thursday---True Miles on Treadmill--- 9.75 Miles 27,930 Recorded Steps Action----Minutes Walked--210 October 14, Friday---True Miles on Treadmill--- 5 Miles 14,763 Recorded Steps Action---Minutes Walked-- 111 October 15, Saturday----True Miles on Treadmill-- 8.25 Miles 23,940 Recorded Steps Action--Minutes Walked-- 180 October 17, Monday--- True Miles on Treadmill--- 8 Miles 24,605 Recorded Steps Action---Minutes Walked--185 October 18, Tuesday--True Miles on Treadmill--- 9 1/2 Miles 27,398 Recorded Steps Action--Minutes Walked-- 206 October 19, Wednesday---- True Miles on Treadmill-- 4 1/2 Miles 9400 Recorded Steps Action--Minutes Walked-- 100 October 20, Thursday---True Miles on Treadmill-- 5 Miles 9588 Recorded Steps Action---Minutes Walked-- 102 October 22, Saturday--- True Miles on Treadmill-- 5.25 9964 Recorded Steps Action---Minutes Walked--106 October 23, Sunday---- True Miles on Treadmill-- 6 Miles 12,502 Recorded Steps Action--Minutes Walked-- 133 October 24, Monday---True Miles on Treadmill--- 7 miles 13,160 Recorded Steps Action--Minutes Walked-- 140 All of this then transfered over to and . Guest guest
Thanks ! ya, I want to keep the momentum going. I can feel the loss of energy. August, I walked 122 miles for the month, September, I walked 126.75 Miles for that month, and October, I walked 145 Miles. So far this month " Nov " I'm only at 30 1/2 Miles in. I'm way behind. -- In thefatmanwalking_group , dougpapa@a... wrote: > > > In a message dated 11/14/2005 3:58:59 PM Central Standard Time, > lscottsstudios@y... writes: > > All of this then transfered over to and .
