This is a bit of a tough video to watch, but I wanted to share it in

case it could help others, or in case anyone would have some valuable

feedback for me as well.

I shot the video of my then 19 month old daughter on July 9 of this

year, the same day that I noticed the bulls-eye rash on her arm. I

believe she received a tick bite on July 1st when we were visiting my

parents and took a little hike along a wooded path. A day later she

started having cold/flu type symptoms and a low-grade fever. This

lasted a few days, then the hysterical meltdowns started, in which

she would be absolutely inconsolable and wouldn't let you touch her.

I didn't know what to do, or what to make of it, so I took the video

so I could share it with our DAN. I finally started to put the

pieces together and figure out Lyme (thanks to Tami contacting me)

and we got her on antibiotics about 6 weeks after first contracting

Lyme. We are continuing biomedical/DAN/specialized diet/alternative

therapy but I am very happy to say she does not show the neurological

symptoms of ASD, however biologically she has the same issues (some

even more severe) as her older ASD brother.

hey, i just wanted to let everyone know that i saw this video a few days ago, and i cries for an hour straight. my son looked and sounded just like that(almost exactly) a few months before his first asd symptoms started showing up. from this video and some other things im reading, we are going to start treating for lyme. my poor baby everyone told me he was just having a bad day, he was really hurting very badly. i wish i had known about lyme then. thankfully my son doesn't have these anymore. he only had a few meltdowns and all happened within a couple weeks. please remember lyme as a part of your autism journey. sharon
