Guest guest
Our program was contacted by an aunt about a 13 month old Mexican child in need of a liver transplant. Since we have little experience in pediatric liver transplant, I would like to refer her to another center. The child will have a visa and the family has said they have 100,000. cash, which probably won't go to far. Appreciate any help or advice. Guest guest
- I would refer to the nearest Children's Hospital. They specialize in that type of transplant. Thanks Caren C. Guest guest
, We might be able to take this case. Do you know the child's diagnosis and how sick the child is? We have a specific department that handles our out of country patients, which might address their cultural needs also. B. Guest guest
Hello, My name is Barbara and am in my 3rd month of being a Transplant Coordinator. Although I have a few years experience in medical insurance through my work at Horizon BC/BS. I am brand new to the transplant coordination arena. The center I work for has been up and running for a year and a half. We will we will host a Live Donor forum in early September. I was just notified that I am to give a 5 minute discussion on the financial considerations for live donor transplantation. What I would like accomplish is to supply the participant at the forum with pertinent information. Avoid discussing the obvious like my job description and supply them with what insurance consideration live donors face. Unfortunately since I a so new to this job. I am having anxiety as to where exactly start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I already have tons of literature on TFC but still I need a few pointer. Thanks, Barbara A.
