Guest guest
Genie, The neurologist is just bringing me down from a pretty high dose of 2400 mg. a day. I'm on 1600 right now, 800 in the afternoon and 800 in the evening. I also was put on depakote ER, 500 mg. every morning. The neurologist wants me to only take 1200 mg. of neurontin, but I tried that, and the pain is too much for me at that dose. I don't know what you should ask for. I would just throw the idea of a dose increase out there, and maybe not just at night. You need a steady state concentration of neurontin in your body for it to work right. --- genie@... wrote: > Someone mentioned taking Neurontin for pain. Guest guest
Thanks for the information, . When it was prescribed, I had no idea that neurontin was used for pain....the neurologist precribed it to control the leg twitching so I could go into a deeper sleep. I also didn't know that dosages *could* be that high (not that they necessarily should be). I'll add it on my list of things to ask about.
