Guest guest
Penny, I may be missing it or doing something wrong in my search, as I couldn't find your instructions. Please help me here, I'd like to add the betadine to my irrigation. Could you repost the link or the guidelines? Thanks,
Guest guest
If I'm not the only one that was looking for a Betadine irrigation, here is one link. Apparently a teaspoon is enough. Only thing is I'm not sure if it is ok to fully irrigate. For people who have had sinus surgery, irrigation will go deep into all sinus cavities, whereas for those of us who have not had surgery, the solution will stop at the ostium, which is a tiny opening. The question therefore is, will dilute Betadine hurt the cilia inside the large sinuses? > > Penny, > I may be missing it or doing something wrong in my search, as I > couldn't find your instructions. Guest guest
I can't answer your questions other than to say I had baloon sinuplasty (enlarging the openings) and my doc still suggested I do the betadine rinse. The recipe you posted includes ingredients like glycerine that my doctor did not suggest. I added saline (Breathe Ease) to my recipe, since it eliminates the burning that comes with unsalted water. I personally really like the Grossan Irrigator (Hydropulse) for ease of use. You can find it on a google search. The Betadine recipe I use is in the previous post titled Betadine Sinus Irrigation.
