She's been on it for 3 1/2 years. Without it, she backs up and gets impactions, lethargy and nausea. Even while on it, she could back up from a small infraction with a food allergy. She is a celiac and allergic to many foods. We are gfcfsf and without 23 other allergens. She is hypersensitive to any cross-contamination. Our doctor suspects mercury and pesticide toxicity as well, so we are starting to use a product called Liver Life to detox. Can anyone share their success stories, please? I don't know where you live but one thing to consider is, if you can afford it, there is a type of allergy 'treatment' called NAET (ignore what you read on Quackwatch if that comes up in a search on it)...another form is called BioSET. While I am not sure either of these would ever "cure" an allergy altogether, they certainly do seem to reduce the sensitivity, and so it would be helpful for your dd's non-gluten allergies, for sure. The nice thing about these methods is that they do not involve shots, and it involves holding a vial of the diluted substance, while the practitioner presses on the acupressure points on either side of the spine. I would not trust anyone who says they can do this technique by "distance" i.e. they do it on the mom, while the child is in the room, claiming transfer of energy... no... they should do it to the person who needs it, i.e. the child. It isn't uncomfortable at all. My son was very sensitive and allergic-ey and this has helped him a good deal, and we have done it with my dd, too, and it does "help" reduce the overall load on the body. Another thought is homeopathy... it can help with the pesticide exposures and mercury issues, and if she has had any bad reactions to vaccines, but you need a homeopath to help choose the remedies. What are some things that you had tried before miralax?
