Guest guest
Hi, I can't answer ALL of your questions, but I can try a few. I stayed at The Inn at Great Neck. It was $157 a night for TCI patients. It was an excellent room, and there is a wonderful thing about having the hotel restaurant right there, you don't have to dress up, coats, take a taxi, etc...we ate mostly in the bar and the food was VERY reasonable in there and very good.We don't drink, but it's still okay to eat in that bar, it's more like a lounge or something. We took a van from LaGuardia to Great Neck and that cost $47 with tip. The Inn at GN is not close enough to walk to TCI. You will need to take a cab most anywhere you go, and that will cost around $8 to go to TCI and then a couple of bucks tip. So, the cabs do get expensive. I have heard good things about the Floral Park Inn, which is about $60 a night, but further away...and about the , which is somewhere in between in cost, I " think " about $130 a night. And there is a restaurant right there in the parking lot beside the , food was great. I think it was called the Seven Seas. You stay there for two days. First day is imaging at Manhasset Diagnostics which is a bit further away than TCI and again, you have cab fare. Second day is the all day evaluation at TCI. They have coffee and pastries there, but bring snacks if you can...we also ordered in from a pizza company while we were there. The cost was not bad. You could also do that in your hotel room and save money over cab fare, waitress tips, etc...so that's an idea. We didn't rent a car, obviously. It was nice to not worry about traffic and directions. And it was cheaper for us to not rent a car, I think. And just easier. Hope this helps some.
