Guest guest
Actually the reason i am tired is because i have to work till 3am, and my sleep schedule is completely messed up. for the past 3 weeks i have been able to fix that bec. i haven't had to work, but last night, it was back to work, and now i will have to deal with flip flopping my sleep schedule around and going sleep deprived. So its not the refined carbs, bec. i hadn't had any before the cappacino. also, i know that caffeine does what you say, but unfortunately, there is no other way for me to stay awake driving home..a 40 minute drive at 4am. in fact, this morning i was almost asleep behind the wheel several times. if you have any other suggestions as to how i can deal with this, i'm open to it...but short of sleeping regular hours, i don't know what else i can do, and sleeping regular hours is not an option right now. It is true that with irregular sleeping hours, it is much more difficult to stay awake. If you can't stay away from the caffeine, at least try to stay away from those refined carbs, it'll help you a lot to get thru those tough hours... Guest guest
Here's something I tried today...measure yourself right after a tae bo workout, instead of before. That is when you muscles are tightest. When I did that, it took 1.5 inches off my waist since the last time I measured, which was at my " saggiest " time. Did the same for my hips. Obviously the people who came up with those weight guidelines didn't know what it would be like if people actually EXERCISED!! Those guidelines are from the stoneage...and I think the " new " guidelines are even worse. I truly believe that the " new " guidelines were meant to be nothing more than a guilt trip for those who " haven't lost the weight yet " . I really think they should refrain from putting out guidelines like that. I think it contributes to eating disorders and yo yo dieting, etc. After all, if Blanks went in to his doctor, and weighed in at 295lbs, I doubt very much his doctor would point to those guidelines and say " well, according to this, you are obese " . PULEASE! Instead they should put the *complete* picture out there...like a person should have x%body fat, and a BMI of x. Actually a few months ago, my fiancee told me that tae-bo was making my butt look really good. He even had me wear this one pair of jeans over to his parents, because they made my butt look so good. He says it's alot higher than it used to be. Meanwhile, the jeans that I wore were falling off my waist, so needless to say I don't think I'll be wearing those jeans anymore!!! > -who won't be posting this at the big board, but there are only a > few of us here, right????? Guest guest
Ok, I was going to wait until tomorrow to make sure, but I got on a scale at work last night. Its a different one than I usuallyuse, so I have to check on the other one to make sure, but I lost 4 lbs since Thanksgiving. And its the day before the curse is due!! I'm not going to jump for joy YET, because I am also very dry, and very thirsty, (we have oil, forced air for heat..UGH!). But, considering the muscle I've probalby gained, a loss of 4 lbs is pretty big!!
