love it. It is the only exercise I have stuck with in my life. I started

seeing some amazing results a couple months ago, after I completed the 21

day

challenge. I actually have muscles in my body for the first time in my

life!

I hope to get to know all of you. Thanks for allowing me to join this

wonderful group. Talk to all of you soon. Bolinda

Wlecome, Bolinda! I think you may have joined a loony bin, but that's

just my opinion!LOL This group is great for inspiration and motivation.

But then again, it's also great for just making new friends and being

Welcome Bolinda! Glad you joined us. This is a great group of people,

although we can tend to get a little goofy at times. Sounds like

you've had great results with taebo. Congratulations!!! I'm sure

you'll love it here. Feel free to just jump right in.

Welcome, Bolinda! I started Taebo at little after you in April. Tell

us more about the results you have seen.

Thanks Elana! Well, as far as the results I have seen, there are many.

First and most important, I had to go out and buy new pants!!!!! That was a

thrill in itself. Plus, I have muscles in my arms, legs, buttocks that I

have never had in my life. I was always jiggly! My fiance really sees the

biggest change. He is constantly telling me how little I am getting. That

is such a good feeling. One result that I have that I would have never

expected to gain, is I feel good about myself. I have always had such a low

self esteem, and for the first time that is starting to slowly disappear. I

still think I could gain more out of this, which pushes me to continue to

workout. I am going on a vacation on the 18th of December with my fiance, and

have decided to get something sexy to wear for him. This is something I have

never done because I never felt comfortable enough to do so. I am a little

nervous, but I am going to do it. I am so thrilled that Blanks came

into my life, because I am a totally different person now because of him. I

am 32 years old, and can finally start to enjoy myself. Sorry to go on and

on, but when it comes to tae-bo, I could go on forever! Thank you for your

interest. I would love to hear the results of others, so please share.

Welcome, Bolinda! I started Taebo at little after you in April. Tell

us more about the results you have seen. Your name is pretty. But, if

you don't like it you can always do what I did and change it. My name

was " Elena " but I was always called Elena. When I got married, I

filed a one-page document in the local court and dropped the . I am

much happier after the change. No more doctors calling me when

that never really was my name in the first place.

Bolinda,

I know exactly what you mean about this. I have NEVER been happy with

the way I look and I am finally able to look in the mirror and like

what I see. My body is strong and I really am happy with who I am.

It's taken me alot of time to get to this point and I credit alot of it

to tae-bo. (Some of it is just plain old growing up and realizing

what's important and what's not important) Anyway, tae-bo has given me

a confidence that I have never had and I am so grateful. Glad you are

feeling good about yourself too. And go for it with the sexy outfit.

I'm sure your fiancee (boyfriend? I can't remember which) will LOVE it!

Congratulations also on having to buy new clothes...that's the best

feeling in the world!

Thanks Sandy. I too believe that the side effect of feeling better about

yourself, is the best thing that could happen. I really never thought I

could feel good about myself the way I do now, but I also look forward to

feeling even better! Thanks for the encouragement!!! Bolinda

Thanks . I love to see that others are benefiting out of tae-bo too.

I try so hard to convince the people in my life what a difference this makes

not only for the outside, but for the inside also. But, everyone makes

excuses of not having the time, or they heard that injuries occur. All I can

say, is that everyone who does not give this a good try, are all really

missing out!! Bolinda

If people get hurt, it is cuz they are not giving their form the correct

attention. I have also noticed that some kickbox class fans are opposed to

working-out with Tae-Bo tapes and claim the classes are safer but I doubt a

random class with a random instructor can be safer especially since reading a

series of kicking tips in our newspaper's weekly fitness section where way

too often the supporting knee and kicking knee are locked or overextended.

Would think someone following these instructions and picture are really

courting serious injuries and this is the pro the paper chose to demonstrate

these techniques!! This same fitness section had a reviewer warn folks that

Tae-bo's BL1 is only for the fit and that AL1 is only for the fanatic. When I

emailed the reviewer & explained that someone should always start with the

Instructional & Basic work-out to avoid injury from improper form, she

responded that she had a bum knee and found Tae-Bo threatening.

Hello,......try following your pro's advice if you want to see how

threatening the wrong form can be to your knee.

I am glad someone mentioned what a positive effect Taebo has on self esteem.

My self confidence and drive have been effected in such a positive way since

I started working out. I walk with my head held higher, my shoulders

straighter, and I have a bounce in my step, and a smile on my face that

wasn't there before. And also, I had forgotten how much extra energy I have

every day until I wasn't able to work out for 5 days. I was yawning and

feeling sleepy a lot during that time, but now I feel energized again. ;o)

Just an added note..I have a friend who took kickboxing in a class and

injured herself. I asked her to show me her side kick (which is what

injured her). Her form was completely wrong. So taking a class is not any

more helpful than doing it on tapes.

If you want the BEST form instruction though, take a martial arts class.

They are big on form.
