Diane The horror I had my endoscope yesterday. I had this done in the endoscope center at the University of Colorado Hospital. All went well in the beginning, But during the procedure I became aware when the scope was way down in my stomach, and remember fighting, and them telling me to swallow. I remember him withdrawing the scope up and out of my throat.You are supposed to be totally stupified by a combination of fentynyl and versed, but for some reason, they were afraid to use too much because I am on narcotic pain relievers. I am not having another endoscope. I'll just have to bleed from varicies if it ever happens. It was horrible. I had the sensation of the scope in my throat all evening, but this morning, that has dissipated. I will eventually get the results in the mail.
