Hmm, I guess I have to brag about the fact that today is day 2 of the NO

SCALE CHALLENGE and I don't have any desire to step on the thing. I'm also

very proud of the fact that today is my three month taebo anniversary, this

is the first time EVER that I have stuck with any type of program for 3

months. I guess that's because this is the first time I've found something

that's fun!

Hey ,

That is great news! It is never too late to brag. I am just like you

well, I am seeing some progress, and I know I am on the right track!

I have been reading other people's journals and it seem the folks who stop

losing and gain it back are the *fad dieters* who also stop (or never start)

working-out or getting regular exercise.

Seems to me if you eat well without binging and work-out regularly, you have

to lose eventually

(now somebody please tell my metabolism that info!!!).

Barb

Barb,

I am in agreement with you that if you are doing the right things,

eventually you have to see positive (or literally negative) results. It may

just be my imagination, but I swear I feel like I have lost more inches this

week. I haven't measured myself yet, but I was forced to do Taebo every

other day since Thanksgiving, and I my mind may be playing tricks on me, but

I think this may have jump started me again. Ever since I started doing the

workout, I have been doing it every day. I believe making a subtle change

like this might have tricked my body into adjusting my metabolism again.

Since yesterday, I am back to working out every day. Okay, my curiosity got

the best of me, and yes, I just measured my waist, and I have lost another

inch since Thanksgiving. Hmmmmm? ;o) Sharon

you know Sharon,

you may be on to something cuz it seems those who exercise every other day

Maybe our metabolism needs an on again then off again effect with exercise?

Barb,

I have an excellent set of Austin tapes. One targets abs,

another targets buns, and then arms, and finally legs. I think they are " 5

minute " workout tapes. She uses small weights for the arms. Anyway, I have

been thinking about adding these to my routine. I also intend to add the

floorwork of the advanced after the New Year. I had thought I would go ahead

and add the floorwork now, (after you suggested it over a week ago) but it is

just to much during the holidays. I am finding it difficult to even do my

regular workout. I think I need some extra work on my abs, and I believe

that the advanced floorwork will give me that, but it will have to wait. Let

me know if you see results after adding the yoga chi. ;o) Sharon

Sharon,

this sounds alot like the tv program I have been doing week day mornings and

even taping for weekends. That is why I was so thrilled with the handweights

my hubby gave me last night.

(I had been using soup cans LOL)

Barb

who likes this weekday program cuz has a different warmup, toning and

cooldown each day for 30 minutes which seem to match my fitness level

perfectly & am hoping to see real results with real weights. I'll probably

alternate this wake-up exercise with the Chinese yoga early morning before

Tae Bo & therefore alternate using weights too

Barb,

I just wanted to say that I never really exercised before Taebo, except

for when I was a teenager. Now that I am feeling the effects of being fit, I

am constantly thinking of new ways to improve even more. Lifting small

weights and adding stretches seems like a good way to go. I never thought

I'd see the day that I had to be careful not to exercise too much! ;o)

I think we are all waking up to giving our bodies better care than we used to

cuz of Tae Bo after taking them for granted.

Anywho, I just did the first Chi (am) tape which was described as Chinese

yoga and liked it alot more than the yoga class I had (I know I shouldn't

judge a whole discipline by one class). It seemed to fit into the Tae Bo

movements more without going on the hated floor LOL.

It is a 3 tape set, 20 minute work-outs each describes as an am tape, pm

tape and an energizer (anytime) tape. It is very slow and relaxing and easy

to do. The instructor tells you the correct side to use like a mirror image

which I wish would do!!!! First you do a move listening and mirroring

then he explains how to breath and then you repeat the move a few times.

I think once I get the hang of it, I will find them very relaxing. It is like

slow slow slow motion Tae Bo LOL.
