Hi Libby

I really believe you have to firmer with your boss. You need to

ease yourself back into your workload. It is difficult for the body

to be still having nanna naps one day and then thrown in the deep

end the next. I would think it ain't unusual or unexpected to be

tired a week after surgery. And considering the day you had I'm not

surprised. Not only is your body recovering from the surgery and

anaesthetic it is also trying to cope with a liquid and reduced

diet. You need to respond to what your body is telling you. I'm

glad you haven't gone into work today.

I often find when you have overdone it sleep doesn't come as easy.

Rest up Libby,

Lorraine

Hi Libby

It took me a good two weeks to feel okay - enough to be at work at least. I sit at a desk, but there was no way I could have done it after my first band. You actually think that you are okay after the first week, and essentially you are - you are not in the same kind of pain. But you have to realise that the physical side of things, your body is healing, it has been thru an enormous trauma with the op and it takes some time for it to come right. I would strongly recommend that you take some iron pills too, you are most likely depleted. There is liquid iron as well that has been mentioned on the site; think it was called floridex from the health food shop. I know that iron taken before my last op contributed to my feeling excellent and bouncing back so soon after my last band 'installation'.

Libby it is natural that you are tired. You have had surgery and it

takes your body a while to recover from it. I had my tummy tuck in

March and I still get very tired. So hang in there and just be kind to

yourself.
