APG: Flammable anesthetic proof mixtures with oxygen or nitrous oxide " and this book confirms that AP is " anesthetic proof " and says that APG is " anesthetic proof gas " : http://books.google.com/books?id=OYlXsS2eDoIC & pg=PA165 & lpg=PA165 & dq=medical+elec\ trical+equipment+classification+oxygen+ap+apg & source=web & ots=ElNYEMbltZ & sig=CLf4\ 2lEAQ6AYy6qkvOH22QH9LtY HTH Gaelle >In standard IEC 60601, several requirements for electrical equipment for use >in medical rooms are listed, e.g. 3 types of applied part classifications >(B, BF, CF: non-cardiac grounded; non-cardiac floating; cardiac floating >respectively). > >There also are two more classifications of a different category. So can anyone here please tell me, what " AP " stands for? Many thanks in advance. Kind regards, Albert

There seems to be confirmation for the assumption that " AP " stands for " anesthetic-proof " . I attached a note to the translation, which is already OTD. Also many thanks to Annie and Gaelle!
