This means (I think) that she has survived the most difficult part of the surgery. Her new liver is in, but only partially hooked up so far. The portal vein, which supplies most of the blood for the liver, is rebuilt and has OK flow. They still have the hepatic artery to rebuild, and need to figure out how to hook the liver up to her intestines.
