Esp for " spiritual / symbolic emphasis " that you want. There are many other places I could suggest, especially in South India where I come from, but this is quite close to Agra, and accessible by air, or by train via Gwalior. You could do a round trip of Mumbai-Agra-Khajuraho-Mumbai.
