Hi Elainie. I think I may have read a book published by them ... a

yoga/waterbirthing book? I am in Virginia Beach. I have met one lady here

into NT, but I haven't seen her since I started researching. I can't

remember her name.:( Where are you now?

I'm not so into group events ... I like better to meet with one or two

people at a time, which is why I thought I'd see if anyone on this group was

local. Thanks for responding. Was it difficult to find natural foods in

Charlotte? I'm surprised how tough it is to find ocean catch here. Most fish

is from farms, which is sad because we are on the coast.

Take care,

Michele

Yes I have the waterbirthing book you are talking about too. I now live in

Vermont, it was about 13 years ago when I lived in Va. At that time there were

two natural foood stores (and I was vegan at the time) so it was easy finding

natural foods.

No, but I use to live in Richmond. I would drive to Washington D.C to

get my raw milk, cheese, veggies, chickens etc. I got my grass-fed

beef from a farm about 10 minutes out of Richmond.

Brain Matters wants to expand ...

especially eastward.

They are considering a variety of locations on the east coast, esp

Long island and Virginia.

*whispering: *Don't let Kate see this. She's been mothering me to get the

papers done, and she's a Pit Bull sometimes. LOL

I have mine ready to go and had planned to turn them in to the local office

after a prostate biopsy. By the time I left the doctor's office, I wasn't in

shape to do it. I will do it this month without further excuses.

Hi...

It took about three weeks. The information is at www.VA.gov and you will have to

fill that 10-0EZ and send it in, I believe he'll also need his DD214 (discharge

form) but they may have it on file. The VA then determines if he's eligible to

recieve medical benefits. Once that's done they will call you to determine where

you want go for health care, and he'll get an ID Card. He can then schedule an

in-take appointment to see a nurse, primary care physician, and the pharmacy.

The whole thing took me about an hour and a half. Everyone was great. Everything

is scheduled by appointments when you need care and they are very good about it.

I haven't gone in for something like a cold, or flu yet, but they do that too.

Thus far it's been the best experience I've had since being diagnosed with RA.

Stan,

Seattle, Cloudy.

I know Stan recently got VA benefits. My husband avoids requesting them

because he says it will take a long time to get them. Of course, if he had

done  it a long time ago, it would be done.

Stan, do you remember how long it took and what was involved?
