Guest guest
Hi there.. yep we are right there with you. We too have seen great things with the Lipo GSH but have discovered that yeast does feed on sulfur. Now that I know we will take some preventative measures. I might also mention that many of my son's foods (and some supplements I tried adding in are high in sulfur also). I have a really really bad gut kid (right Dr. M??!) and we spent almost a year getting a good gut so this was frustrating. But now that I think we know what did it, hopefully I can control it better. My son does not at all respond to naturals or I'd throw those in as preventatives but once we are straightened out, I will rely on more probiotics and most of all I will watch his diet so I am not bombarding him with high sulfur foods. And I won't give supplements high in sulfur anymore. Hopefully that will work. If your child responds to naturals then I'd use those along with the lipo gsh as a preventative once you get it straightened out. We have done a round of Difflucan and Flagyl to address this. Keep us posted.. we are all learning about this together and any new insights are valuable. I'd love to know if anyone else is seeing this also. in AL > > My son has had so much improvement in stools in the past 6 > months...they were normal, consistently for the first time...until > we started oral GSH from Wellness. Guest guest
-, I would like to know what foods are high in sulpher. We are giving my son aa sulpher based drug for his IBD which is not working in my opinion. I want to make sure that I am not giving him too many foods with too much sulpher. Also, where do you get your info on sulpher feeding yeast. I would like to have as many resources on hand as possible. Guest guest
Let's see Suzie... I read the yeast -sulfur connection in various places but never could find a lot of studies etc at all. It just seemed to be general knowledge and I was the only poor soul who missed hearing about it! There is so much to learn that it's impossible to tackle it all at once. I might suggest joining sulfurstories list on Yahoo.. Owens is a sulfur " expert " and her list has lots in the archives. Also you can find lots of info on gut issues too on chelatingkids2 and lots of good info in the archives. Lots of experienced parents there too -just like this list and Dr. McCandless posts there when she has time also. High sulfur foods include brocolli, cauliflower, spinach, nuts and there is also sulfur in grains and meats to a degree. I have been asking for a week for a list/website that lists the sulfur content of many foods but can't seem to find one. If you do, please post it. You may have read reports starting to come in on Lipo GSH triggering yeast btw.. and that is due to the sulfur we feel. So it's pretty common knowledge but was news to me. Keep us posted. I'll learn from your experiences I'm sure! in AL > > -, I would like to know what foods are high in sulpher.
