Guest guest
Lena My poor dear friend, I am so very very sorry to hear of your tumble....do you have any arnica? I love Traumeel arnica cream rubbed everywhere...really helps with bruising but orally will help as well. Also you could soak in an Epsom salt bath. I am praying no serious injuries from your fall. with love nancy Hi Everyone,A couple of hours ago, I slipped on the lower stairs in my sock feet and when I realized I couldn't correct, let myself go limp and thumped my way to the bottom, mostly on my left outer thigh just below the hip. My left collar bone hurt a lot too, but I'm not sure how that was involved. I'll probably find out what else was involved tomorrow. :(My whole body was severely jarred, and I immediately took some Rescue remedy, some ibuprophen, rubbed DMSO into the pounded area, and rested on the sofa, staying warm so things wouldn't stiffen up, and stretching and flexing everything I could. Nothing was broken, and I'm not doing too badly now, but would appreciate any tips on how to minimize the aftermath.Yeah, I know: don't walk around in socks without grips or treads. Also, install a handrail on that lower part of the stair. sigh. Thanks for any advice you can spare.Be well, Léna
Guest guest
Hi ,Bingo! Thanks for the kindly reminder! I just found a bottle of Bio-Remedy for Joint Pain which has Arnica among other things, and then found a bottle of Hyland's Arnica montana and also Ruta grav. which may or may not be needed. I also discovered some tincture of arnica montana for rubbing in and some arnica cream to slather on. Good thing I recently organized my supplies! It's been ages since I needed them. I feel really foolish, but also grateful that nothing seems to be broken. Still, I know that the critters love stressed spots, so I'm hoping the consequences won't be long or hard. Thanks dear friend,Be well,Léna Lena My poor dear friend, I am so very very sorry to hear of your tumble....do you have any arnica? Don't beat yourself up over this (no pun intended ;-) When I over do or injure I increase my minerals a bit and my magnesium a bunch. It seems to help the muscles relax instead of spasm. Oh, plenty of water. And if the critters like those stressed spots, you've got the perfect place to rife/coil. I think someone else mentioned them as well. I always keep them on hand. They are truly amazing when it comes to "owies". Alk gold might keep things neutralized as well. Guest guest
Ice-skating got my tailbone when I was young. Nasty! Took decades to stop hurting with weather changes. Guest guest
That must have been hard being a little one. Its amazing how long that the tailbone can hurt. When I started killing lyme and co,I had big time pain in the tailbone area. Knock on wood,I have not had the pain there in a long time. Guest guest
Hi Joyce and Lena! Will someone please tell me how they got the pain out of the tailbone! Guest guest
Hi, MJ: I would try Traumeel by Heel. You can get it at www.vitacost.com It comes in cream to rup in and pills to take. I have fallen down our stairs and wrenched by shoulder - did both forms of trameel and all the pain was gone in a few days. I lifted something too heavy the other day and set that right shoulder on fire again. I was out of the cream so just took the pills every couple hours - pain all gone in a couple of days! It is amazing stuff! Cheryl Hi Joyce and Lena! Will someone please tell me how they got the pain out of the tailbone! Guest guest
Hi Lena,Sorry to hear this, hope there is nothing much to worry about...I would keep the DMSO on it, don't think you can O'd on this, so keep putting it on the sore areas... Also I would keep up the Ibuprophen and take some heavy doses of turmeric and coconut oil... 1/2 tsp doses, up to 8 times daily for a week... Heat should also help as long as there isn't any swelling... If there is, then ice. For the reason you mention, I don't like stairs... Especially for Lymies, our gate is not all that perfect... Hopefully this incident will help you think about every step on the stairs in the future... Be well,Jim OT: after the fall: help!
