I need your opinions.....I have been approached about starting a Special Needs Parent Support Group at our elementary school. I think this could be a real asset in that it could provide support and information to parents who do not wish to attend the support group meetings for the overall district or those located in Houston and beyond. That being said, it has been brought to my attention that forming such a group would perhaps separate these parents from the overall parent group. I am not overly concerned about this as myself and another top PTA officer both have special needs kids. Any input into this would be greatly appreciated.
