Guest guest
What is a good combination of meds? I have been on a holiday and getting ready to start back, I was on zerit, epevir and sustiva. but I do not want to go back on zerit. It is hard to say without knowing your medication history and genotype while you were on medications. Meds like Viramune, Viread, Epivir, Ziagen, Emtriva, T-20, and Reyataz do not seem to have as many metabolic side effects as the others. Avoid the combo of Viread and Ziagen, though, since it may have some interactions that renders each drug ineffective. Guest guest
“Avoid the combo of Viread and Ziagen, though, since it may have some interactions that renders each drug ineffective.” I don’t know if you can really say that with confidence. The Viread and Ziagen and Epivir combo that was studied was taken all as a once a day regimen, all pills at the same time. One might expect this rush on metabolism to create some first come first absorbed problems. But I don’t think there have been any studies or reports that showed Viread once a day, Ziagen twice a day and Epivir twice a day (or Emtriva once a day) is ineffective. I agree that there are other options – Reyataz seems to have become enormously popular along with Viread – but can we say that BID (twice a day) Ziagen should not be taken with that combo? Guest guest
I take medication every time I have a dental appointment, but not for Asperger's. When I was looking up information on AS, did note something. MSG and Aspartame havenegative effect on those who have AS. Aspartame easy to avoid, since a sugar substitute found mainly in diet soda (Splenda and C2-new Coke Drink have it, Pepsi Edge does not). MSG is harder, since in so many foods-processed items genreally have it as ingredient. Technically, brain is " allergic " . Asian restaurants have it too, but you can request it not added. You really cannot avoid these entirely. Think about it, your AS throws off your brain function anyway, these two chemicals don't help much.
