Re: Cabergoline as a reversal to pssd?

Hi,

I have a bottle of cabergoline that I ordered earlier this year. I expected

some type of positive response from this stuff, based on what I read about it.

The truth is that I felt just about nothing from it. The worst part was the

constipation it caused. I tried it about 4 times. I'll probably try it again,

but maybe not as I've experienced a significant reversal in symptoms in my pssd

in the last 6 weeks for the first time in 5 years and don't want to screw up my

progress.

I'm not sure I recall reading that cabergoline made any significant

contributions to peoples recovery, though. I read many who theorized it should

and that Dr. Goldstein prescribed it to people that went to see him.

years ago. After a year of taking a low starter dose I noticed dramatic drop in

libido and was moved onto Effexor. I decided to come off ADs as my depression

seemed to have completely gone. The PSSD has continued to this day, 10 years

later, with only some improvement.

has recommended Cabetgoline. Has anyone here had experience of this medication?

I have found some positive references on google searches that suggest it could

reverse the effects of ADs. Grateful for any views, advice or experiences?

HiI have recently taken a bloodtest and it turned out that my prolactine is high (I'm a woman) Cabergoline was prescribed for me ( which is not only a cure for high prolactine but also a dopamine agonist) I'm still hesitating to start taking it. But it's interesting that maybe there is a connection.. To: SSRIsex Sent: Wednesday, June 6, 2012

hiI toke cabergoline for 3 mounds but it wasn't useful. bopropion (welbotrine) was more effective that other medicine. Also I take vitamins (specially vitamin D3) , (b complex with high B6), C+E and Omega 3. also use the treadmill. it was most effective than medicines.
