The Monarch School in Houston Tx is based upon the RDI model

(Gutstein). They have a website - I think it is Monarch.org but not

positive - you can find it via google. It is somewhere off I-10.

Hi, friends. Just continuing discussion on RDI from a few days back.

After re-reviewing rdiconnect.com and phoning a representative, I

don't find evidence of school-based Gutstein program trials being

implemented in Texas area schools. As the rep. suggested, I emailed

Dr. Gutstein asking about this and whether there might be cirriculum

materials available (how nice that RDI freely gives out the doctor's

email).

On another positive note, our SLP has agreed to look at the web

site. I'll re-borrow her one of the RDI books, which I borrow and re-

borrow from the library. Maybe she is more like me than I

thought...sometimes takes a while for things to penetrate my thick

skull :-)

While I await reply, I'll ask if anyone hanging out here today has

more to share on Gutstein.

Thank you for posting this info, Stephanee.

Gutstein's reply to me said that there are no school based trials.

I'll interested to read the website. There may be something clicking

here that I'm just not able to explain yet.

I am in WI, too far from Houston. Is your family involved with the

Monarch School?
