Not only is this not possible, but wheat is seldom, if ever, used as a vinegar source. So gluten would not be found in distilled vinegar, which is the kind you will run into almost all of the time in this country Even the wine vinegar in Newman's Own is probably OK for many kids, but perhaps not for all. In any event one can make up one's own dressing with distilled vinegar. Jack Jack, I was really wondering about vinegar's effect on candida and fungus. I guess Chelsey is clear of that stuff and remains so? We haven't been able to lick that one yet. a H.
Guest guest
a, We haven't had candida or fungus issues with Chelsey for several years--a blessing--and she seems to handle the vinegar easily now. In fact, she would drown her salads with Newman's Own if we let her. Obviously, if you're fighting that battle and are concerned about vinegar, you should stay away from conventional dressing. You could make your own with lemon juice in place of the vinegar. jack PHashmall@... wrote: In a message dated 8/13/2004 1:56:15 PM Eastern Standard Time, jmzimmerman@... writes: Chelsey started off on a strict GF/CF diet and has grown to be able to eat a variety of foods, even gluten with the help of enzymes.
