Guest guest
Hi all, Hope you are all doing well. I had a quick question about my Dad and the procedures that he is having done every month. He has gone to the Lahey Clinic now twice to have the varices tied with the rubber bands (sorry if I am using the wrong terms again). He actually just went today and they said he will have to go back again in a month to have it done again. What does this mean? They told him he will not need a liver transplant so why does he need to keep having this procedure done? They said they have to make sure the blood will clot. He has not had any bleeding since the original incident that happened in February when he was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. Can anyone help me out with this and maybe I would be able to understand it a little better. Will he have to have this done all the time? Thank you for your help, Hannah
