Guest guest
the 3 things that work best for me are an inhalation of thymus and chamomilla essential oils - good for pain and infection. also putting them on the skin in almond oil. the only tinctures that have had good sucess for my own ghastly chronic sinus infection were horseradish and yerba mansa - and believe me it had to work to take anything SO vile! marianne has a good mixture for sore throats etc, externally - cajuput, ravensara and pettigrain in almond oil - would you use that for sinuses marianne? Guest guest
Hello Neelam, Hedley wrote in Herbal Thymes about a formula - Gelsemium 5 Tilia 95 I've tried the above for my own acute sinus pain (ad lib, tho' I suspect the dosage should be 5 mls tid, or so) and it helped some. Good luck, Benn -- Benn Abdy- MCPP Medical Herbalist Windsor & London 0 or 07957 65 88
Guest guest
I usually use petitgrain and matricaria EOs externally to drain sinuses, adding anti-infective oils if appropriate. works a treat. 1 drop black pepper speeds it up but don't get it near the eyes. the sore throat etc mix is usually ravensara, melaleuca qqn, both in large doses externally, plus whatever is appropriate - pine, cedrus atlantica, etc. get it onto the glands at frequent intervals. marianne ========================================== nne Last MNIMH The Herbal Dispensary for fast dispensing from herbalist to patient. dispensing@... Guest guest
glechoma.always use FE. althaea.thins the mucus. thymus.kills the bugs. vib.op./gelsemium/hyoscyamus/valeriana/whatever. relaxes the tissues and lets it flow. use mucous membrane tonics after you've drained the sinuses - they can make the blockage worse if you start with them. change the diet. nne ========================================== nne Last MNIMH The Herbal Dispensary for fast dispensing from herbalist to patient. dispensing@... sinusitis has anyone got any effective recipies for blocked painful sinusis?
