Conflict of interest?

I don't see what you mean. Please forgive me if I am mistaken.

If you have clients that pay for herbal medicine consultations, then why not

offer them a way of claiming some of their payments back?

Yes, you could (if you wanted to do so) earn a commission from selling the

health scheme, but you can make that very clear to your client when you tell

them about it. The alternative is to just make them aware that the policy

exists and let them follow it up if they see it as being of value to them.

Kindest Regards,

Arwel

Surely there is a conflict of interest here, or have I missed something?

Dear Arwel,

There is a world of difference (legally as well as ethically) between

informing patients of health insurance schemes that also cover herbal

medicine, and receiving a financial incentive for promoting one. At that

point you could be classed as an insurance salesman. Have you checked

whether in the event of the company going insolvent or a claims dispute

between the patient and the company you could in any way be held liable? I

would check this with the ethics committee.

Best regards,

Krystyna

A clinic i work in was approached by healthcard plus about 2 weeks ago, but

the rep said they didn't actually cover herbal medicine! They said it was

because their underwriter didnt' want to cover it. I wonder when they changed

their minds?
