Guest guest
Hi, Tony. Wow, what a bummer that someone said that about alcohol. I drank 12 to 15 beers a day for 15 years, and used to think, man, I need to slow down... Well I slowed down the hard way. Different sites say slightly different things, but the American liver foundation says that between 10 and 20 percent of heavy drinkers will get end stage liver disease after 10 years. That leaves 80 to 90 percent who won't. A lot of my friends drank more than me if you can believe that, and it gave me a false sense of security. I find no use in beating myself up for how I used to be. I learned in AA to ask forgivness, as well as to forgive myself. Still, that's an insensitive thing for someone to say. Some people in my family say some pretty messed up things, too. This is an article I first read in my pain doctor's lobby. It helped me a lot. I saw that a lot of the same things happened to this guy, and how he dealt with it. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17888476/site/newsweek/ ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Luggage?
