Guest guest
Great link Sue, thank you very much! In this specific case, do you think the Y is just formed by the free end of an in situ LIMA going into the side of the LAD or do you think it is a composite graft like in your article? If the former I would have thought they'd say " sur la IVA " rather than sur la MIG, if the latter I would have expected them to state which other vessel they had used in the composite. Guest guest
Helen, I'm no specialist in CABG surgery, but from what I've read about " pontage en Y " and " Y-grafting " , it seems to my that it is by definition a composite graft. http://www.ctsnet.org/doc/2964 I agree the wording here " pontage MIG-IVA en Y sur la MIG " is confusing. Perhaps it means that the LIMA is in situ and the RIMA is the free graft? I'm sure there are some more knowledgeable colleagues out there somewhere :-) @Marilyn -thanks :-)) Sue > > Great link Sue, thank you very much!
