Guest guest Posted May 16, 2008 Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 Jan, I have similar pains. Sometimes it is on the right side and sometimes the left. It extends into the pelvic floor. I used to blame it on the distal end of my VP shunt line. My Gyn blames it on pelvic muscle spasms. It feels like side stitches, a crampy stabbing pain. Lying down helps. Does your daughter have pelvic congestion? I have varicose veins in that area. I believe it is related to EDS. I had surgery to correct it at Hopkins, but it came back after a year.
