Hi everyone,

Have any of you ever been told that your child has semantic-

pragmatic disorder? Jakob's doctor told us this is one of his

impairments. I have looked it up on the internet and the website

has a lot of information. I wasn't sure what this was until looking

at the website and it describes Jakob to a T.

Thanks,

(Mom to Jakob, 8 MDS)

Please tell me what web site you looked at. I am

interested in learning about this. I don't think I

have heard of it before.

--Dear Kristy,

I just typed in semantic/pragmatic disorder and a website came up.

Check out the one that is parent papers, it gives info on parents

that have children with this disorder. I had no idea what this

disorder was until I read the description and realized this is

Jakob. I always thought that his problem communicating was due to

the MDS, but this explains so much more. Not that I want him to

have another diagnosis (he has enough) but this way I can get more

info on how to help him.

Thanks for the interest!

Take care!

Thank You! I found this very interesting! For those of

you that have received a diagnosis of Autism or

Aspergers, I think you would find it interesting too.

The site I looked at was:
