Are you saying that the Armour "causes" MS?

Also, what about other natural desicated thyroid drugs like Nature Throid and the Canada one Thyroid? What is one to look for for these MS symptoms?

Thanks, in Wa

Hi Joan,

Sorry for the late response but I have been ill and off the computer. Better late than never.

I had experience with Armour and MS. I had brain lesions, loss of vision, fell continuously, no reflexes, etc. Spent a year undergoing tests to determine if I had MS. Two of three tests were positive. Need three positive tests for MS diagnosis.

Then, I went to Univ of Pa hospital that specialize in thyroid disease for a consult. My thyroid levels were off the chart, pitutary was being fried and the reason I experienced these problems. PA doctor prescribed levoxyl and 1,000 - 2,000 vitamin D daily. Low levels of vitamin D can cause MS symptoms. This specialist wrote a letter to my endo detailing why I should never be prescribed Armour.

Hope this helps. Happy New Year.

Hi, Does anyone have experience with MS, and taking Armour?Joan

I am on synthroid. I have Hashimoto's disease. I feel good being on the synthroid. It seems to me that this group only promotes the Armour as the only way to go. If people say they don't feel good on it then they should know. One type of medicine is not necessarily good for everyone. Those of you who like Armour then that is the course you should go. Those of us who like something else then that is what we should do. One way is not better then the other way. The best course of action is to listen to what their doctor says.

Hi, I just went to urgent care because I felt terrible on armour. I was so nervous because I didn't know how the doc would react, considered the previous experience I had with docs. = really bad.

The PA was really nice and gave me a prescription for Levoxyl. I found a new doc. and will see her on the 5th Jan. I started taking Levoxyl today instead of armour and feel better already.

This is not the case. If I would have done what my Endo said, I would be on Cymbalta and think that I have fibro. I know for a fact that I don't have fibro. He would have crippled me for live and I would have killed myself after being in pain for years.
