-- Good luck on cathcing up LOL -- I am waving the white flag. Other than a few breaks for various reasons, will have been on bethanechol for 3 years in April. That is a very long time for any Rx. We have tried to go off two times before (after the 1 and 2 year anniversaries) and got regression. In stead of going cold turkey this time, we slowly weaned off and have had no regression. The only reason for stopping is that I do not think he needs it any more and was no longer benefitting. No other reason. Same reason we have reduced the zinc and eliminated taurine. We did CLO, vitamin C and bethanechol and CF for a year before we did anything else. No other reason than I had never heard of DAN, the ARI or Yasko and milk gave him dark circles and pimples (plus the day we

stopped raw milk, he stopped the chronic respiratory and ear infections). Mercury was not on my radar screen. I had run across a Megson article and talked an MD in my family to help and give me the Rx. After the MD stopped the Rx's (which in the long run was a good thing), I discovered one of the yahoo groups, got a DAN and the rest is history. We stopped the bethanechol and started the DAN protocol again from scratch. At some point we added the bethanechol back in. One post in mid-September you sent had coming off the bethanochol. Were you successful in keeping him off? What were your reasons? Ronan has been off the Rx for about 2 weeks now. We wanted to try to wean/eliminate any Rx to see what reactions Ronan would have. So far, I think he's doing okay. There were no setbacks or negative behaviors. Only a few times, 2 or 3, did I see Ronan have a 'space out' moment. I can't say if it's from the bethanochol being removed or not. Also, I admire your determination. I see you answer many posts on several boards--it is apparent that you are a true fighter for . Thanks for your inspriration!>> We get a lot of our supplements from New Beginnings. We also like the spry mouth wash. Ronan is adorable. I have no financial interest in the product line either.> > Vera>
