Guest guest Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 To All Someone from the Michigan group sent a warning out just a few hrs ago that the Novarg virus hit many around Monday or so. I had a sense of urgency to do a Live Update on my Norton. Norton ordinarily sends out Live Automatic Update every Wednesday morning, but you can go in and do it manually anytime you want to. I just did this a couple of days ago, but I went straight in and got it after the warning today. Not 30 minutes ago, I got hit with it, and the Norton chewed it up and spit it out (not repaired, rather quarantined, then delete). It was in two different mail messages that give a random name (not on my mailing list) with the sbjct of "Hi". It's such a lovely thought because there are thousands of advertising messages with the Hi message. I hope everyone has their puter manned with an antivirus program. I know we've done this sbjct before, but it doesn't matter because mine was saved in just a few hrs! Tx Quote
