Guest guest
Dear M and Group, Sorry to hear you are still getting the tendonistis and lumps. :-( There are so many grades of milk :Whole, low fat, non fat etc. I have a hunch the acne your girlfriend is getting might be due to all the fat in the milk and cheese. I notice I get some acne if I eat too many avocados and nuts. I don't drink milk at all, and have little cheese, but I do eat non fat plain yougurt with my own fresh fruit added (Yummy). It's the pasturization that is the problem, they think, but aren't other foods pasturized? More than likely one bad batch introduced the bacteria to our systems, and now we're stuck with it, but maybe not an ongoing ingestion of pasturized milk. Only an antibiotic could knock that out I would guess. Jeff mentioned the subject of inflammation, and I think it is possible that some foods could cause that, but I don't recall seeing a study relating the anti-inflammatory foods to EN or any disease--just anecdotal. We have many Links and Files on the anti-inflammatory foods for those who want to give it a try. Oddly enough I seem to be on it, and I am a vegetarian, drink no coffee or take sugar. I avoid processed foods, and I have even cut out rice. Running out of things to eat! Since I still have flare-ups, I can't say it made much of a difference for me. I weighed in this AM at 117 1/2 lbs., so I don't need to loose any more weight. I am slightly hypothroid (slow thyroid), and have been afraid to start meds for fear I'd lose more weight. My weight has been stable for the last 30 yrs. Wishing Everyone a Peaceful Sunday! Love,
Guest guest
I sure do. I have 27 cows in my backyard. It is so much easier than going to the store all the time. Especially, when I cannot drive. Jim
