When Cody got sick in January, he was at basketball practice. His arms starting hurting real bad, then his legs started hurting real bad, within minutes he hurt so bad he couldn't walk (the story goes on but I'm going to stop there, eventually he got all the diagnoses that are in my signature). He slowly has gotten better, but not completely well, but much much better.

I've noticed (I am paying more attention to symptoms and surroundings these days to try to figure out his triggers) that he has been really rubbing his eyes and nose in the past week. Well today (at basketball practice) he came and sat down beside me and told me his legs were hurting like they did last year. I wanted to leave, he didn't want to because it hurt too bad. About 10-15 minutes later he was fine...he went back out and continued to play. I walked around looking for a janitor or something to see if there was something they were using in the school to make him sick...I couldn't find anyone, no cleaning was going on (maybe before we got there a chemical was being used that he is sensitive to?). Anyway, I remembered when he was sitting down it started to rain, and shortly after that he was much better. Coincidence? See, he is highly, highly allergic to mountain cedar, the doc

just told me that mountain cedar is already making lots of people sick (the worst time for mountain cedar in Texas is December and January). I have been reading on Mountain cedar allergies since his diagnosis and I read that the only thing that will bring almost instant relief is rain, it tames it way down. I know this sounds crazy, leg pain (in the calves). I know it is inflammation, could it be caused by the mountain cedar. Is it a chemical being used in the school or in the gym, or could it actually be the mountain cedar allergy. I have read that some people have mountain cedar allergies so bad it makes them ill and that some actually have to move out of the state.

Opinions please.

Thanks, Deanna,Fort Worth, TexasMom to Cody age 10, Dx: EE (2/08), Guilliam Barre Syndrome(3/08), Epstein Barr Virus-Mono(6/08), Environmental Allergies (mountain cedar & cats)(3/08), Eczema (since birth).
