Guest guest
have taken Serostim twice for Lipo(fat deposits on back of neck, hump, back, waist, sides of torso, double chin). I took it once for a couple of months(self inject) and just felt crummy on it. About 6 months later i tried again, this time I injected it for a year. My numbers from their test always seemed to improve, but I never lost any fat. If anything I think I became more bloated on it. I felt absolutely awful while taking it. They said no one else had these reactions. The day after I quit injecting this crap I felt better. Its funny how dr.s are able to get insurance to cover this ridiculously expensive treatment for lipo but insurance wont cover liposuction. I dont know if my experience is the norm, but you have to be really desperate and nuts to do this garbage. Serostim can do great things for some people when it comes to burning visceral fat. But the water retention, joint aches, and high blood sugar can be a problem for some, even at lower doses. It increases insulin resistance for some. That and the edema may be a reason why people feel so bloated on it. Some doctors test for your glucose tolerance, per Dr Kotler's suggestion, to see who is more prone to have glucose problems with its use. I have seen great results at lower doses of Serostim with a low sugar/low corn syrup diet, testosterone and exercise. But it is not for everyone unfortunately. I wish doctors started trying giving Glucophage (an insulin sensitizer) to people taking Serostim and have high glucose problems. I presume the Glucophage/GH combo would burn even more fat. I know someone is studying this, but do not know who (Bob Munk, do you know?) I presume the Glucophage/GH combo would burn even more fat. As you know, Glucophage (Metformin) is being studied for lipodystrophy but I don't think there are any studies combining it with GH. Actually, glucophage can present quite a danger for people on HAART. Many people who are on HAART (especially those with symptoms of lipodystrophy) tend to have elevated lactic acid levels. And most of these people aren't even aware of their elevated levels because they've never had a test. Adding glucophage on top of such an existing problem can push levels to the stage of Lactic Acidosis which can be life-threatening. Glenn Golenn: That is true, but none of the studies have seen any lactic acidosis. I would not take Zerit or Videx if I was to take Glucophage. Avandia (rosiglitazone) may be another alternative that may be a good option, although the data so far are inconclusive. I have seen several people lose a lot of belly fat and weight with glucophage. Guest guest
had no luck with the metaformin. I took it at least for 6 months. As i have written earlier I also took serostim(hgh)twice, once for two months and a other period of a year. I did not loose any weight while on these drugs. The serostim made me nauseated, joints extremely painful and bloated, and toward the end I had a difficult time thinking. Two day after I quit, I started to feel better. I see these fitness people on tv doing the hgh, I dont know how they do it. Maybe I was injecting to much. But I found a good plastic surgeon here in houston. What was the dose of Metformin and growth hormone that you used? Are you working out? What meds were you taking while on both drugs? When you say you found a plastic surgeon in Houston, do you mean you will be getting liposuction? Please let me know who he/she is since I know of no one here with lipodystrophy surgical experience. Thanks!
