last winter while in FL, I not only had bad reactions to fire ants, but a severe reaction to no-seeums. I thought I would scrape my burning skin off. nothing helped. I bought the 'itch aisle' at Walmart-no help. I remembered some Aztec clay-bentonite clay- I had with me. I tried it-aaaahhhh, relief. I had to continue to use it for about 2 weeks, but I could function and after about 2 months the black spots went away. A nurse at the campground tole me it was indeed a severe reaction. Even when I would shower, the pain was so terrible, I had some clay paste mixed and ready to apply. Instant relief. When I got the fireants, which were not as painful as the no-seeums, I used the clay for that too.

I use the oral DMSO for my boys with cerebral palsy. and just used some topical last night on a big toe that got caught in the plastic web of a baby gate and broke the vessels-all blue today, but the pain was relieved soon.
