Guest guest
I am really sorry to hear about your child. PLEASE look into to www.nucca.org. all of your sons symptons link to pressure on the brainstem!!! These docs usually evaluate for free, get him evaluated, it could change his life and quick. It did for us. This my docs website it is very good. www.johnsonspinalcare.org My kids were severely sensitive to any probiotics with trace dairy. I even saw bright green mucus with culturelle. I also could feel that my sons colon was inflamed on the trace dairy probiotics. They both picked up the dairy and soy. The probiotics that helped the mucosal lining and the food tollerance were florjen3 and a chewable probiotic from wallgreens that is non dairy (natures bounty). The florajen is 100% hypoallergenic 15 billion. It worked for over a year with my daughter and then oddly it just stopped working for constipation. If I were you I would stay clear of the trace dairy probiotics and consider trying a hypo allergenic one or trying something like NUTRAFlora prebiotic. It is the gentlest of all the prebiotics. I have a realative with chrons and I found some pretty conclusive evidence of prebiotics helping inflamitory bowel disease. If you want I can try to find it. My 11 year old son was scoped last week and has lympocetic colitis. He has tended toward constipation for years now and probiotics usually make it worse. We were forced to try a couple medications for migraine and anxiety about 9 months ago which led to severe constiaption. Tye was not able to poop at all. We did finally do miralax for several months and then stopped when I realized what kind of damage that was probably doing. Currently there are a myriad of things going on but one of the most concerning is that the constipation is ramping up again. He had been going daily on Mag Citrate and Cascaracom (herbal). When they scoped him he was full of stool (this was after what we thought was a cleanout). I decided to try Mag Glycinate to see if that would get things moving more throughly than the mag citrate but it backfired and he hasn't pooped since. The Mag Glycinate (I learned since) is high in oxalates and that is a huge problem despite being LOD for over a year. Oxalates are being produced by the yeast in his systema and also all the miralax I gave probably converted to oxalaic acid. Since the miralax and increased oxalte load Tye cannot tolerate many phenols, salicalates etc...... so I can't use prune or plum juice to help get him going. I have gone back to the Mag citrate and Cascaracom but what else to try? We are starting to do distilled water and olive oil enemas today on the advice of our nutritionist. No kid wants to be put through that but we have to get this "crap" out of him. Any suggestions? Thanks, Carole

Guest guest
, I called a doctor in Massachusetts (from the NUCCA list) who sounds very nice. He is a couple hours from us and recommended someone closer who is a chiro. but does not do NUCCA. I asked about an evaluation for the torticollis and he said with x-rays it would be around $500.00. We have spent so much on Osteopaths and Bio-med just in the past 6 months that I have to hold off. I don't know if this is a core issue for my son but he certainly has a lot of compression and structural issues. I will email our Osteopath and see what he thinks. Thanks for all the info. on this piece, Carole --------- constipationTo: "miralax group" <miralax@yahoogroups .com>Date: Sunday, September 14, 2008, 9:02 AM Hi Everyone, I joined this group recently and have found lots of valuable information. Guest guest
I believe I owe you an apology. I have never seen these strains in non dairy. That is very exiting! Guest guest
I am on an older kids with plageo site, all those kids had tort and the two parents that were doing osteo. I can get the contact info if you want it, neither of them had resolution of the atlas from osteo and in both cases the osteo said "I am working on it" One kid was going for months and the other for years. One parent still goes to osteo and the one that had been going for years quit the osteo. I know how you feel about the expense, I felt the same way and I even put it off for a couple of months. I realize now for us that was a big mistake. Sounds like you are doing a great job helping him and getting support for him. I really hope he starts feeling better, poor little guy. We were doing cst and regular chiro before nucca and were spending over 1k a month, so I understand the expenses. We now go to nucca once every two months and cst cranial sacral every 6 weeks and not paying 1200 a month for formula and $100 a month for prescriptions so it was definately worth all the effort to figure out what was wrong. Best of luck I will be praying for your answer to come. here is a link to all upper cervical chiro's. There are other types of upper cervical than nucca that work on the atlas. Maybe one of them takes insurance and is closer to you http://www.upper-cervical.com/html/directory.html#MA--- Subject: Re: constipation colitis migraines anxiety READTo: miralax Date: Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 1:54 PM , I called a doctor in Massachusetts (from the NUCCA list) who sounds very nice.
