Guest guest
I do not understand how you can say things like " the mainstream medical establishment is going to deny this. " Are you a part of the " mainstream medical establishment? " Do you have proof that this WILL or has already happened? Do you have some magical crystal ball that tells of the future? I d o n ' t t h i n k s o! For it to be suggested that I'm in denial, is the last straw as far as I'm concerned. I'm all done listening to this crud and all of the medical advise being loosely handed out as if there's a framed degree hanging on the wall! From what I KNOW, you have to have a DEGREE to PRACTICE medicine AND, for your opinion to be heard or taken into consideration within the " mainstream medical establishment! " I'm outta here y'all! I've had enough and don't have to take this, and certainly do not need this in my life! Good luck to all of my friends! Cya! Debbie The mainstream medical establishment is going to deny this and will not listen about many of these situations because many choose not to, but it will happen. Denial does not change it. Guest guest
Dear Debbie, I am sorry you are upset and wanting to leave our group. I hope it does not come to that, because you are an important part of it. I think it is possible that there is a misunderstanding here, in addition to a healthy difference of opinion. If you reread 's message quoted below, when she refers to denial, she seems to be referring to the mainstream medical establishment, which she had said would deny the information. I do not think she meant you were in denial. I hope this helps. Hugs, > I do not understand how you can say things like " the mainstream > medical establishment is going to deny this. Guest guest
Wow.... I missed this... My take... there are some patients I have found really need the assurances of a 'medical professional' while others prefer to take the long road and educate themselves as much as possible. Neither approach are 100% correct... however I have to add in my personal opinion that it is very dangerous for folks in our medical positions to blindly accept anyone with a medical degree. I found my condition getting worse and worse till I decided to educate myself and really find out what works for me. Blanket statements work for no thyroid patients. Example? Many thyroid patients find that synthroid and other synthetics works very well for them. The majority of Hashimotos patients find that only armor thyroid or take more than one of the synthetics to deliver many parts of the thyroid work. And just this past year I got in to see the 'expert' in this area - an endo by the name of Lippes (his father invented the IUD... he comes from a long line of brilliant yet misguided physicians). Well Dr. Lippes insisted that there is no good reason to take Armor and if I was going to continue seeing him I would have to switch to Synthroid. I have to tell you all here, I was pretty much bed ridden till I was put on Armor. The level of fatigue I experienced on all different doses of synthroid was debilitating. So.... Fellow listees I ask you all to listen to your own bodies, educate yourselves as much as possible and try to remember we have all different views on how to best treat ourselves. But #1 is we must keep our ears and minds open. When you close either your only hurting yourself. Debbie, please do not leave the group... all points of view are important. Guest guest
How do you get your mind and spirit to float to the Gulf of Mexico? I need to learn this trick... On top of everything else I'm dealing with right now, I get this passive aggressive email from my mother yesterday.. telling me she is going for her second lung cat scan this week. Oh by the way I may have cancer.. wtf is that?
