Guest guest
I found a probiotic drink that is non-dairy and is made with all the good "loosen up" juices like pear, peach, etc... I've been seeing a difference in my grandson. I bought him a couple packages of the mini "shots" and he loves them. I like the name of the product as well. http://www.goodbelly.com/ Re: question for the magnesium expertsTo: miralax@yahoogroups .comDate: Monday, September 29, 2008, 12:23 PM Magnesium works in that it gets rid of what the body doesnt need and this causes the looser stools, this also works with vitamin C(we have had success with both), extra water is needed to help this work. Also it depends on the mag form. Citrate and hydroxide seem to work best with this, for us anyways. Also the more backed up the more that is needed to break up the hard stools. Regular dosing typically wont work for constipation, this is when the higher doses are needed. Eww, prevacid, my son was on at one time. I worked quick to get him off after seeing the huge list of side affects. Prevacid actually stops/blocks the production of the so needed acid our bodies need for digestion etc(unlike tums, MOM that just help nutrilise the acid). I feel this is only good/needed if the esophogus is in bad condition(our sons was). Backing up causes also the backing up of acid, so the smoother running the gi the less acid reflux, but not always, it can be caused from other things but this is a big one, or as you mentioned possibly a bacteria issue! You mentioned spagetti tonight, it stops his reflux everytime(the garlic)! Jennie<><>> > If you supplement with magnesium and it doesnt loosen stools.... Would that mean that you were very defficient? Has anyone noticed that they need to give less magnesium over time to have an effective dose? Just curious....that may mean that the body is becoming less defficient. I recently learned that the prevacid that my kids were getting depletes magnesium levels. I tried mag in the past and it didnt work and I am wondering if that is why.>
