Guest guest
Hi, Folks, I have a client who puchased an A-1for home training and only used it maybe 10 times, lacking continuing motivation with 'slow' results (Asperger's). Parents would like to recoup what they can. Anyone interested? They'll take "any halfway reasonble" offer. Reputable school teachers. Guest guest
Kirk, You're right, Florence is quite close, even though I live near the very top of the I-275 circle. I appreciate your sending me your contact information. I also rec'd an email from someone from Dayton Biofeedback Center, which would be about a 50 minute drive for me -- doable, but you would be even closer. I am encouraged to discover that there are a couple places where I may pursue this avenue of treatment. I'd love to talk to you. I have a number of commitments over the next couple days but will try to call you before the week is out. Thanks for your offer of help. > > > > Hi, Folks, > > > > I have a client who puchased an A-1for home training and only used > it maybe 10 times, lacking continuing motivation with 'slow' results > (Asperger's). Guest guest
Hello D, Your post is full of excellent information. Thanks also for the encouragement because I have been confused by the things I've been reading here -- it's similar to overhearing a conversation in a foreign language and recognizing only a word or two sprinkled throughout the conversation. I'll hang in here, as time permits, and see how much of it I can absorb, as in a language immersion program. :-) The info you provided helped me to reach the decision NOT to purchase the A-1 machine at this time since I have no idea if it would be compatible with the type of treatment protocol I may need. It seems like a good idea for me to start working with an experienced clinician and psychologist. I'm disappointed and surprised that, so far, I've been unable to find someone right here in Cincinnati, but at least I have a couple options that are within a reasonable driving distance, and I have some additional Internet links to follow for further searching. The immediate outpouring of support I've found in this group has been a tremendous encouragement to me. If anyone reading this has any further recommendations or clarifications, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks again, B > > > > Hi, Folks, > > > > I have a client who puchased an A-1for home training and only used > it maybe 10 times, lacking continuing motivation with 'slow' results > (Asperger's). Guest guest
D, I've replied to this post twice and rec'd confirmation that my message had been sent, but then it doesn't show up on the list. Maybe the software on this site works a little like my Brain! Anyhow, I'll try one last time and if copy the text this time before sending. Just want to say thank-you and let you know that your post was not only full of helpful information but also very encouraging to me. All the posts here are, as you say, a little confusing to me -- like overhearing a conversation in a foreign language and only recognizing a word or two. I'll just take it one step at a time. I do appreciate the outpouring of support from the folks on this board. Guest guest
Thanks, . That was helpful. One of the two practitioners listed in Cincinnati, Dr. Wing, was the person who referred my to this message board. Unfortunately, he is no longer doing neurofeedback. I will check out Judy Schwartz, though, as well as some others outside the city but not too far away.
