Hello,

In MASS our undocumented patients, particularly pregnant patients, receive LIMITED MCD without documentation, so do their children unless born here.Do you know if this mean that patients without documentation would no longer receive LIMITED coverage under these circumstances?

Thanks

.. IMPENDING MEDICAID CRISIS

Effective 7/1/06, status of LEGAL citizenship status must be shown in order to receive any state Medicaid services. This applies to children also, and covers all arenas of service, including pharmacy coverage.

The qualification will take place 7/1/06 for all NEW Medicaid applicants, but as individuals are due to re-apply, this documentation must be provided in order to continue to receive Medicaid services. This will apply to "dual eligible" individuals receiving disability also, in the instance that the individual on disability is not a legal citizen.
