Guest guest
dear docs, i am treating a 3 mo old for colic. she urps up continuously during and post eating, and can be intermittent all day long. her very vigilant mother is feeding her similac as this is the formula which tends to be the least aggravational. current meds: hmf natogen bid 4, 31, 46 - just increased dose from 1 gt po to 4 gtt in elbow creases and navel aethusa cynapium 7ch (prescribed because the baby was urping alot of curdles in the vomit) - 1 pellet 20 min prior to food nat phos/ calc phos - alternated qod 1 pellet bid castor oil rub on abdomen bid her bm are very loose and green. they have always been green. we switched her to a goat milk formula which induced constipation for 11/2 days so much so that the mom had to pry the stool out of her bum and it's color was a very light shade of brown. i am wondering if anyone has had this experience in the transition from bovine to goat milk. suggestions? perhaps cal carb 200C would be a better choice than aethusa, and then another attempt at transitioning off similac. i have also taken her off cell salts for now. thank you for any imput.
