Guest guest
Suzanne, Coherence and amplitude don't necessarily have anything to do with one another. If two instruments are playing at a certain level of volume but not in the same rhythm, getting them to play on the same beat won't necessarily mean that they are playing louder or softer than they were before. Coherence is independent of amplitude. As for comparing the s' screen at Cz with the TLC at C3 and C4 at two different times and dates, I'm not sure there's much I can say. Comparing filter type used in the protocols (butterworth, chebyshev, elliptic and FIR filters will all give different values from the same frequency band at the same time, because they screen out and screen in different parts of the wave. You also can't add together two narrow-band filters like we use in the TLC and get the same value you would get with a single wider-band filter. Again, filters don't perfectly measure all the activity between the high and low ends of the band. They tend to miss more or less activity at the edges of the filter (or in some cases, when they roll off, actually include activity that is outside the target band. Pete Good evening Pete,I am trying to be as clear as I can in my questions. I was using the the ProComp + in June and I am now using the Infiniti but I do not think that would explain the differences. You may remember the client we discussed last week: great change are evident in last week TLC assessment when compared to the one done in June. ln June the coherence frontal, central and parietal were all in the " red " (looking at the report sheet), now they are all in " black " or " blue " . GREATToday, I wanted to compare today's data with data gathered in May with the same client using the 's assessment screen, at Cz. Surprise: there is no change in the amplitudes of the different frequencies (Theta, Alpha, Beta) between the testing done in May and the one done today. My first question: if the TLC assessment reveals such a great improvement at C3 C4, how come I do not see it at Cz using 's screen? My second question: the amplitudes measured with the TLC is very different that the ones measured with the 's screen especially in the low frequenciesFor exemple: assessment at Cz - EO; (4-8 hertz) is 22mv , ( 8-10hz) is 16 mv, (11-12 hz) 8.9mv, (13-15hz) is 10 mv, (16-20 hz) 8mvTLC assessment at C3 and C4 -EO: (4-6 and 6-8 hertz) is 10mv , ( 8-10hz) is 12 mv, (10-12 hz) 13mv. (12-15hz) is 12 mv, (15-19 hz) 13mvThank you for taking time to analyse these inconsistencies. Suzanne Day -- Van Deusen pvdtlc@...http://www.brain-trainer.com305/433-3160The Learning Curve, Inc.
