Saw my GP . . . but there really isn't anything to report. My derm

doc, who is such a sweetie, had already called my GP and brought him

up to date with everything we're doing. They had both agreed on me

seeing a rheumatologist. I got a scoop about the rheumy from one of

my co-workers . . . she says he's small, nerdy man, but extremely

detail-oriented; the range of questions are incredible and he's all

action . . . so maybe I'll have an answer soon. I'm seeing him on

the 17th. His office called ME at work, said my derm doc called and

gave them my number to get me in as soon as possible. My GP

confirmed that my swelling in/around the face/neck is from the

prednisone . . . he's not sure about the legs, which is why he's

going along with the derm doc. He had all my test results from the

ER . . . everything looked within normal range. They tested me for

Lyme and did a thyroid thing, prolactin, sediment . . . everything

looked ok. So . . . I guess we wait till we see what the little

rheumy has to say . . . GP is hoping derm doc will slough off some

prednisone when I go back next week, since the lumps seem to be

dormant . . . not gone, but not growing new ones . . . so maybe we

can go down a couple two/tree mgs of the fat stuff. I bought some

Arizona green iced tea . . . hoping maybe that'll flush me out???

I had a few sledgehammer pangs this morning after I got up but they

didn't get too bad, thank God . . . and I pray the sledgehammer man

NEVER returns!!! So there we have it . . . M

I was hoping your GP would do that for you.

Sledgehammer? You mean migraines?

No . . . sledgehammer to the lower legs . . . or that's what it feels

like . . . usually wakes me up in the wee hours . . . no idea what

causes it, no idea how to make it go away . . . it happened twice

over the weekend . . . now my legs from the knees down are grossly

swollen . . . again, no idea why or what's going on . . . so I call

it the sledgehammer syndrome . . . or I guess we could call it the

migraine of the lower legs?? =)
