Guest guest Posted January 31, 2004 Report Posted January 31, 2004 I have two kinds of back pain: sometimes the inflammation (which can be a part of the immune system response) kind of pinches on my upper back nerves and I can wake up in the middle of the night with my hands numb or tingly...the other kind is when my kidney area is sore. In both cases I find drinking lots of water and making myself exercise helps. Sometimes I just have to take an Advil.
