Guest guest
Shalom ( " Peace to you, " ), Isn't that great how many of us love you and care about you. Look how much input you are getting from everybody. You must be very special. Can I put in my two cents? By the time you get this you may already have your results from the Doc. But my suggestion (to add to the hundreds of them!) is that you should calm down. You are going through a stressful situation that creates a lot of fear and uncertainty, and it opens up lots of boxes of insecurity (which we ALL have) and it magnifies all of our weaknesses. Most all of us go through the FAT issue and many of us feel insecure in WHATEVER situation we are because we don't measure up to what we think other people think of us. The reality is, people not only CAN be cruel, they ARE cruel. And most of these people who are putting us down for whatever flaw they have chosen to major on with us are only covering for their own major personal flaws. I had a teacher who once said, " Don't let the Enemy know where you tied your goat. " I thought that was brilliant. We all know that our goat is that thing that disturbs us the most. There is a scripture from the New Testament that says we should bless (or pray or forgive, I forgot exactly but all of them are good) for those who persecute us or hate us, etc. There is power we can gain from not letting those people have power over us, and by praying for them or blessing them or whatever, it can remove from them the control they have over us. Sometimes we give people too much regard over us and then we BELIEVE what they say about us. But they are WRONG. Yes, I might be FAT or whatever, but that doesn't make me a BAD person. It just makes me FAT or whatever, that's all. But the kicker is, is that those of us in this circle are all working to change that, and in time, we who are FAT aren't going to be for long. (We can apply this to whatever the thing is that people criticize us for.) That's all on that subject. Just don't let those other define the standards. Regarding your knee, just wait until you get the results, and THEN proceed. One day at a time, one step at a time. Most of our freaking out comes from letting our thinking drive us. As many have said, think positive thoughts. Don't try to climb any mountains until you get to them. Then see what you need to do in order to scale it. Life is sometimes like a video game where you have all these opponents flying toward you (I'm referring to some of those very OLD video games) and you just have to either shoot them down, or move out of the way... I don't want you to be offended by anything I have said. I am taking the time to share my thoughts with you because I care about you (you are now one of my taebo buddies!) and I want to see you get through the things that are before you. I'm praying for re: the knee thing and look forward to getting the positive results that it isn't what you thought. Women ARE different from men. The fact of the matter is, it is hard to recover from having a baby and that is something that men will NEVER EVER DO! Of course women are going to be treated differently in that respect. I was never planning on having children while I was in the military. And I think that your example about high school is a little different....you didn't have to be WEIGHED and stuff...I know where you are coming from, but the military is a totally different story. I am not asking for anything out of the ordinary...women are different from men, and I don't remember being a part of the feminist movement.... I am sorry if that sounded harsh or anything, but what you said sort of insulted me.
