Guest guest
Hello Jolee, Welcome to the list! I also live in NC. I'm in Greensboro. I am currently looking for a source for raw milk. If you could contact me off-list at jrkilpat@... , I'd be interested in finding out if your source may have enough for an additional share. That is, if your source is anywhere reasonably near Greensboro. Thanks, - > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Lee Tigges > To: RawDairy Moderator > > > Hi list, > > My name is Jolee and I live in North Carolina. Guest guest
Hi Jolee! Welcome. I believe Suze Fisher and Terry on this list know a lot about celiac disease. They could probably chat with you. Also, if the cheese, butter and yogurt are bring tolerated by your children, I think there is a good chance that raw milk will be tolerated. If it is not, then I would work toward it by moving to kefir, which is infinitely more digestible/ It's kind of like super-yogurt. Go to this link to read about the difference between yogurt and kefir... http://www.kefir.net/kefir3.htm And if kefir isn't tolerated I would move to coconut milk kefir at www.bodyecologydiet.com. This will introduce dairy-loving bacteria for about 6 months into the system without the dairy. After that I would try milk again. Hope that helps! D. Sara L. I became interested in raw dairy products after reading the book, Nourishing Traditions. Recently, I have found a source for raw milk, buying it directly from a farm. I am the mother of 5 children, at least one of whom has celiac disease, as does my husband. One of my sons is on the autistic spectrum. I am anxious to see how the raw milk will be tolerated by my children. Currently, the only dairy they are allowed is cheese, yogurt (homemade), and butter. I am really hoping that the raw milk will benefit them, but I do not know of anyone who has experience with this type of food for these types of problems. I would love to hear of your experiences, and would appreciate any advice anyone has to offer. Jolee
Guest guest
I just finished listening to a tape by Donna Gates of www.bodyecologydiet.com She discussed autism and sounds like she has had success helping these kids. She also mentioned how important raw butter was for the kids (as well as pregnant moms) and that many families were very hesitant to give dairy to their kids because of previous diet restrictions. Guest guest
Dear Jolee, I just read a report in Acres USA of research that indicates autism may be caused by MSG and related compounds that are associated with soy protein.
